Thanks for the advice, Vik and M! Looking at that picture I realize picking up a couple of stitches there is exactly what I should have done… Next time – hole-less socks!!

I love the color on those socks! They look very bright and cheerful. Did you wrap the last stitch on your short rows? One thing some people does to get rid of those holes at the corners is to pick up an extra stitch or two at each side, and then the next row knit them together to get back to the right stitch count.

I got holes like that on a similar pair of socks. The only thing I can suggest is picking up a few stitches after you finish the short row heel.

Wow, great pictures. I have no suggestions about the sock holes, unsurprising given that (1) I don’t knit, and (2) almost all my socks have holes in them. Maybe duct tape?
