knitting monogamy…

It’s SO not interesting. I’ve been working on a baby blanket, and the shower is approaching, and I’d REALLY like to have a FINISHED blanket to offer, instead of a pile of yarn and an apology. The blanket is for some super earth-friendly parents who requested lots of organic items. Necessities only, though. They had a couple baby blankets on the list, so I ordered some organic cotton in a cone off e-bay and got to work right away!

I’m using this pinwheel pattern, which requires basically no attention whatsoever, but it’s pretty enough to be knit in just a lot of beige yarn. Sorry it looks like a big beige blob at the moment. I promise the blocking shots will be lovely!

I had to start out on some dpns (which I loathe) but now I’ve worked up to some Denises with a couple of cords involved. I like how I can knit until there’s way too many stitches jammed on there and then just add a cord and TA-DA I can see how big my blanket is and knit more comfortably.

How big are baby blankets supposed to be, anyway?
