It seems I may be addicted to blogging? Who the hell would have guessed that would be the effect of writing every day for a week! I suspect blogging might be one of those things that becomes less daunting and time-consuming once you get into the swing of it.
Here I am, at home waiting for the UPS man to bring my new sandals, wearing my one mitten around (even though it isn't even for me). I finished that mitten last night while at work. Yes, I work 7 hours every Sunday this quarter. Besides that I am:
*reading some Plato to prepare for my students' class tomorrow
*fantasizing about the immanent arrival of my strickfingerhut (HUGE thanks to Carolyn for the link/recommendation)
*plotting a new mitten design
What are you up to today?
When I saw your post about knitting stranded with both yarns in the left hand, I was going to recommend the same thing! I just cannot knit a decent stitch holding the yarn in my right hand so have been using one of those doohickeys in my novice attempts at stranded knitting. Let me know how you like it!
I made banana bread and went for a run. Now I’m waiting for my lunch to heat up, will hopefully write out checks for bills, and then head down to school for three-class Monday, my least favorite day.
I’ve always wanted to try one of those yarn guides but I am comfortable with stranding with both hands so I always walk by. Can’t wait to hear your review of it. Nice Fiddlehead!
Oh! I love your Fiddlehead. I have one Frank mitt down by the way — looking forward to getting back to its almost-finished-mate this evening!
Ugh. I coudn’t even make it through the whole week blogging. It got so terribly crazy midweek, and it was all downhill after that. Although, I have ben enjoying your posts

I love that mitten! That pattern is really great, I love it in every color combination I’ve seen!
Haha I do the same thing when I’ve finished a single mitten
Your Fiddlehead looks beautiful.
What is that finger contraption?!
As for me, I went to class and am now biding my time until I start work. I would love to go for a run, but a terrible backache/chestache has been plaguing me since yesterday morning. I will probably spend these few hours knitting.
Resting. A lot. I feel like I’m coming down with something. Also, I LOVE those mittens. I will have bright, toasty hands come winter.
I like your new mitten!
i have always enjoyed the gigantor look of mittens. that’s a beautiful Fiddlehead.
looking forward to reading more of your posts1
Hey missus I got a strickfingerfuck a while back because I will buy ANY Scandi-inspired knitting accessory and couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to work it! But then again I never check Youtube to see if someone posted an instructional video. LOVE your fiddlehead and your gorgeous curly locks in this picture!
