now introducing: Circles Around, and the most hastily written blog post of all time

So, I seriously just spent something like 12 hours straight at my computer finishing up something about which I'm not really willing to speak in great detail, but is kind of a big deal to me, and had a hard and fast deadline. (It's not crafting related, I swear, so the secrecy isn't all that exciting for you, my dear blog readers.) I've gotten so much better about not procrastinating, and I had been working on The Secret Thing for weeks now - months even, indirectly. But it's funny how it always comes down to the wire.

Anyway, because of The Secret Thing I'm glad I have all these accumulated crocheted squares to show you - and this one is a beaut. It's called Circles Around, and it was as fun to work as it is nice to look at. You make those little discs in the corners first, then set them aside to work the spiral, then work all the way around both the discs and the spiral to make one big piece. I love it.

So there you have it. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go eat some food and act like a human being for a little while.
