There is now a section on the A level of the Regenstein Library that is for “displaced dissertations.” This is infinitely hilarious to me, probably because I have no idea what makes a dissertation displaced. I mean, it’s not just displaced library books in general, and there ARE other things on that floor besides dissertations… But can you imagine, some old alum coming back and wanting to find his/her dissertation and see it sitting on the shelf in their old library, only to discover that it is categorized as “displaced”? What a tragic comedy!
